Workshops

Workshops of compass and flamenco palms

The workshops are open to students of flamenco dance and fans (aficionaos) of flamenco in all its manifestations. Workshops allow a better knowledge and understanding of the styles, from the study and practice of its rhythmic base: The compass (compás).

  • Length of the Workshops:

7 hours and 30 minutes distributed in 5 days (1 hour and 30 minutes daily)

  • Number of participants by Workshop:

20.

  • Quota of inscription:

105 €.

Advise: The cost of inscription in the workshops DOESN´T INCLUDE the attendance to the spectacles of the Villamarta Theatre programmed in the Festival.

 

Inscription

  • In order to formalize the inscription in the courses, you must send and application form pointing out the courses and workshops you want to attend to indicating the form of payment.
  • The bulletin of Inscription will have to be executed and send it to the Festival by anyone on this means:
  • The date of admission of inscriptions will open the 12nd September 2011. The requests sent before this date will not be admitted under any concept.
  • Once the inscription has been formalized the Organization will send a confirmation to the applicant, who will have to send by e-mail within a week passport picture.
  • The inscription in courses will become by rigorous order of admission of requests.

Payment

  • The payment of the inscription will be in Euros, by one of the following procedures:

      A copy of the defense of the banking transference will be sent (by fax or e-mail) together with the inscription application form.In this copy it will have to appear the name of the student and the applied courses/workshops.
      *The applicant will be fully responsible for the cost of the banking expenses of the transference.
    • CREDIT CARDS: (VISA CLASIC, MASTER CARD, EURO CARD, RED 6000); the following data must appear: credit card number (16 digits), expiration date and security code number.
  • Once the inscription has been firmly made , it will not be possible to cancel it;for this reason and under no concept, we will not return the money of the inscription.
  • The Festival of Jerez hasn't subscribed any official agreement of collaboration with any intermediary agency; and so, we are not responsible for any inscription unmade directly in the Festival Office; by anyone of the procedures described in this norm.

Certificate of participation

The Organization will give to the participants in the Courses a certificate of participation, in which will be credited the number of distributed hours.

Attention to the student

  • All the Courses and activities will use the Spanish as unique language.
  • The Festival puts at the courses disposal singers and guitarrists; the Maestro himself decides how to organize the class.
  • The place of celebration of the courses is subject to changes.
  • The Festival can facilitate information about modalities of lodging available in Jerez. The Festival is not responsible of the contents of this information; directly facilitated by the hotel sector.
  • The Andalusian Center of Flamenco, collaborating organization of the Festival, makes available for the participants its vidiográficos, bibliographical facilities and services of registries…(ask for the schedule directly to CAF).
  • The Festival has arranged a service of Flamenco Day-care center for those participants who wish to come with their children.
